The Yokohama Rubber Company, Limited was established in 1917 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture with a joint investment from Furukawa Electric Company, Ltd. (formerly Yokohama Cable Manufacturing Company, Ltd.) and BFGoodrich.
